Match Report | A great win in the County Cup U17 semi-final last night. A great team performance, with a special performance from Will Rowe with 7 wickets from 3.3 overs for 8 runs. We started very well with all our opening bowlers bowling well, taking out the top 3 batsman early who were all very good players was very important. Well done to Nayan, Thomas and Jesse for this great bowling start, a wicket each. Will then ripped through the rest of the team with his 7 wicket spell. A very important boundary catch from Jesse got rid of their big hitting opener who looked very dangerous. This was a difficult catch Jesse made look easy and vital in the context of the game. They only got 46. We batted well and knocked off the runs in half the overs however not without some wobbles and nervous moments. A couple of mid order wickets at the wrong time could have resulted in a tense finish, however Adam Trivett, Archie Hillier and James Lander who were asked to bat earlier than usual, picked off the poor balls and closed out the game. |
